Fonds documents the functions and activities of the Mount Royal Faculty Association, including collective bargaining, advocacy, and providing professional development opportunities and other services to its members. Fonds is divided into four series: collective bargaining, university/college administrative and reference documents, professional development, and social events. Fonds contains collective agreements, negotiation working files, photographs, reports, correspondence, minutes, newsletters, handbooks and guides, bylaws, and financial statements.

Cross appointments

File documents faculty appointments across different faculties and the effort to secure proper compensation for such teaching arrangements. File contains drafts of a report on the feasibility of making cross-faculty appointments tenurable or term-certain, correspondence, workload provisions, a description of cross-faculty appointments, report on reassigned time, and a final report of the Faculty Roles and Responsibilities Task Force.

Credit accounting

File documents MRFA research into amending policy 502 (K) Length of Semester/Reading Week and associated issues regarding the Credit Accounting program. File contains correspondence, draft policy amendments, and a draft report from the Ad Hoc Committee on Credit Accounting.

Association administration

MRC mandate transformation

File contains correspondence regarding the MRFA's union certificate, interview questions, and reference materials from other Alberta institutions relating to admission requirements and academic freedom. File also contains an invitation, program, and announcement regarding the installation of Douglas Lauchlan as MRC President.

Incorporation and bylaws

File documents the incorporation of the Mount Royal Faculty Association under the Societies Act. File consists of applications for incorporation, bylaw revisions, correspondence, and memoranda.
