Brussilof magnesite mine near Radium, British Columbia, a trip to Sillvan Lake, Alberta to try and narrow down the original location of a sample, and a trip to the Italian Alps for sample collecting, conference and meeting notes from meetings with colleagues at the Mineralogy Society, Cambridge University and the Open University of London in the United Kingdom, and a software fair and conference in Pisa, Italy. Fisheries Management Enhancement Program project submission

File consists of a project submission written by Ray Sloan for the Alberta Environmental Protection Fisheries Management Enhancement Grant Program. The submission requested that funding for the Ware/Treepoint Creek Project (a previous fisheries management project Ray Sloan had been working on) continue and that a base-line study of fisheries, benthic invertebrates, and in-stream/riparian habitat on Pekisko Creek be initiated.

Ray Sloan archive - 1995-1996

CD-ROM contains documents related to Ray Sloan's work on the Ghost River and Waiparous Creek in 1995-1996. The objective of the study that the documents relate to was to initiate a baseline inventory of the fisheries potential of tributaries to the Ghost River and Waiparous Creek. Throughout the study, fisheries and habitat data was gathered to be analyzed in order to provide recommendations relating to stream rehabilitation and fisheries enhancement/management programs that were being considered by the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Division. File contains correspondence regarding the IPC's interactions with other leaders and organizations involved with disability sports. Correspondence covers topic such as organizing meetings and site visits, lending support to international disability sporting events and organizations, responding to event invitations, responding to requests to volunteer/participate in IPC events, soliciting support from government officials, responding to requests for information on the IPC and its athletes, and addressing or directing complaints/grievances from IPC organizational members to the appropriate IPC committee.

File also contains correspondence addressing the administration and organization of the IPC. Correspondence covers liaising with various branches of the IPC, receiving nominations for IPC executive positions, and the planning of IPC events and meetings.

File also contains supporting documentation such as resumes, press releases, newspaper articles, agendas, newsletters, a concept proposal for the Sydney Summer Paralympic Games, and a South African 96' Paralympic team brochure.

Item is an information package, produced by the vice-president of Administrative Services, for MRC managers regarding preparing for the 1995-1998 budget process. The package contains budget assumptions, tuition recommendations, draft operating and capital budget plans, and performance indicators.

Item contains: research notes from a trip to the French National Centre for Scientific Research scanning electron microscope laboratory to see demonstrations and research their procedures, a trip to Cambridge to work with the ion and electron probes and to research new improvements in improvised power supplies, notes from a meeting with the Edmonton Space Science Centre regarding meteorites on long term loan, and notes from the MIAC (Meteorites and Impacts Advisory Committee) committee meetings in Montreal. Item also contains notes from a personal trip to Keats Island.

Collection consists of a near-complete print run of Fast Forward Weekly (FFWD), a Calgary-based local news and entertainment weekly newspaper that was published from 1995 to 2015 by Great West Newspapers Limited Partnership. The 934 newspaper issues in the collection are bound in volumes in chronological order. The collection also contains one series of CD and DVDs containing digital photographs, articles, and web page images created by Fast Forward Weekly's staff for the newspaper.

"Fast Forward Weekly (FFWD) was a news and entertainment weekly which provides news, alternative viewpoints, entertainment information, review articles and specialized advertising. It was distributed throughout Calgary, Banff and Canmore. It is owned by Great West Newspapers, LP. With an assessed readership of 70,000 upon a distributed circulation of 30,000, the paper was one of the most widely circulated and well-respected alternative newspapers in Canada."
